Despite wildfires, drought, changing times, and a lack of digital updates to the web site… the Sky Valley Volunteer group has been chugging along the entire time and getting the important work done. A constant group of volunteers have been planting oaks, watering oaks, harvesting acorns, planting native plants, building a shade and automatic watering nursery while networking with scientists and other environment organizations to keep the work of habitat restoration moving forward for future generations. The dedication of these individuals is impressive.
As the organization moves forward this fall, the web site will gradually have more attention paid to it. We want to education more volunteers and let them get in on the fun, while keeping the public updated on our mission.
Currently, volunteers of all ages are working on 3 basic sites, consistently, and a few additional sites as the need arises. Donations are always appreciated and we always like it when we see new faces at the volunteer events! If you have a love of trees, nature and all things restorative, we want you to join us.
